Friends and business partners, Ryan Daly and Kellan Lutz threw their first vision board party on the second Saturday of January 2010. It was a small party of about 20 friends who came together at a house in Venice Beach California to dream of a life they've always wanted. The group was told to find pictures, words, phrases in magazine cut outs of the best life they could imagine, and then multiply it by a 100. If money, time, social status, and fear wasn't an issue, what would you want your life to be like in one, two, five to ten years? The result was an abnormally joyful atmosphere where people's heart's opened, eyes lit up, and imaginations ran wild. Something strange also happened, in a room full of "been there, done that" group of sarcastic Hollywood friends, a shift occurred in the atmosphere. People started picking out pictures or words for their friends, that they knew aligned with their life's vision. Encouragement towards long lost dreams and hopes poured out of each other's mouth's. Almost everyone agreed it was their favorite party of the past year! And this coming from a group of people who regularly travel the world and attend movie premieres, music festivals, fancy parties in the Hollywood Hills, etc. But stranger still were the amount of texts and emails that came in over the next 6 months from the same attendees professing how random pictures and phrases had already come to pass. Thus a tradition was born. The next four years saw bigger and bigger attendance, and now almost 100 people attend every January.
